Anthony Ammirati has a golden offer for his NSFW mishap.
After the French pole vaulter went viral for his crotch hitting the crossbar, causing him to miss his target height during the semifinals at the 2024 Olympics, an adult film website offered him up to $250,000 for an hour-long webcam show.
"We are always searching for top-tier talent that can offer one-of-a-kind content to our users,” CamSoda’s Vice President, Daryn Parker, shared in a statement to E! News. “When we saw Anthony's performance in the pole vault competition last weekend, we wanted to present him with an offer to celebrate his physical stature rather than contribute to the distasteful comments he's been receiving.”
“We're confident that watching Anthony's bulge on our site could inspire others around the world to stand erect and show off their own, too,” he continued. “Should Anthony be interested in taking us up on this offer, we're happy to work with him on what his debut on CamSoda would look like. We hope to help him regain his confidence after the Olympic event.”
E! News has reached out to Anthony and Team France for comment but has not heard back.
Following the incident that set the internet ablaze, the 21-year-old reacted to being a “viral sensation” by fellow pole vaulter Armand Duplantis on Instagram Aug. 4 with four laughing emojis. But the incident, which placed him in 15th, left him understandably heartbroken.
“I’m a bit gutted, because I didn’t miss anything on the third attempt at 5.70 m," he told the French Athletics Federation via translation. "What I did miss was a bit of jumping in training to fine-tune the settings. Just a technical session. I had to give up the last two, because after a small grade 1 in the adductor, I prioritized the race."
"I was 100 percent physically, but I was missing a bit of pole vault,” the athlete added. “The conditions were good. It’s the first time I’ve started a competition without any stress. As I was a total outsider, I only had one goal: to play with the public. I was almost there."
But Anthony isn’t the only Olympian with NSFW opportunities. Robbie Manson, a rower from New Zealand, turned to OnlyFans to help support his professional athletic career as he doesn’t make enough from just athletic sponsorships or competitions.
"I get more than double what I would be on otherwise as an athlete—read into that what you will, but I am making more from OnlyFans than I am from rowing at this stage," Robbie told Reuters July 31. “I thought, if I'm going to do it, you have to tell everyone, be really open and I think you need to feel that any publicity is good publicity.”
Robbie receives some money from Rowing New Zealand that covers his training costs, but not enough to make ends meet. He explained, “I don't have any big personal sponsors or anything.”
The 34-year-old, who’s since cultivated a loyal audience since he’s a public figure, even urged other athletes in similar positions to consider making adult content for an additional source of income.
“There is a market, I think, for everyone—you've got to already have some sort of an audience," he explained. “I wouldn't say it's for everyone, but I think I've just been very lucky to have the opportunity there and make the most of it.”
